  1. What is Climate Fiction?, a ‘Stories for the Earth’ article explaining how cli-fi can help us in mobilizing against climate change
  2. ​The Great Silence by Ted Chiang: A short story about the message animals would send to the human race as we approach the “Great Silence”, also known as the tipping point of climate change.
  3. Time Capsule Found on the Dead Planet by Margaret Atwood a “2-page letter from an extinct human race offers no explicit strategies for averting climate change, but its compactness makes it useful as a quick in-class read” (from Morningsidecenter.org).
  4. Life in 2050: A 2-minute video on what a daily routine is in the future.
  • What are the benefits of writing sci-fi when trying to speak up about climate change? What are the different effects when writing fiction about climate change solutions or climate change tragedies?
  • Does Cli-fi make climate change more consumable? Is that right or wrong?
  • How do they capture human emotion and real world conflicts? In the short stories or reviews, what climate change aspects did you notice?
