Mr. Kelman Videography 2020 Final Project

Step 1: View a series of videos dealing with climate change and environmental threats; use these as potential models for your final group projects.
Please watch the following videos. While all of them in some way have some connection to climate change, some are more direct and straightforwardly trying to persuade you of something, and others function more as artistic reflections, perhaps more open to interpretation.
Step 2: please spend some time writing in response to the following prompts; please post your writing on Canvas.
1. Which of these videos did you find persuasive? Why do you think you found it persuasive; how do different stylistic approaches make something feel more or less persuasive?
2. What viewpoints, ideologies, and interests inform the makers of these vidoes? How are some of these viewpoints and ideologies different from each other?
3. Which of these videos did you learn something from? Which of these videos caused you to ask new questions?
4. When you imagine the future of the world, what role does climate change play in that imagination? Can you imagine a better future world in spite of climate change? How do you think we can get there? What do you know already that could help you answer this question? What do you wish you know more about?
5. If you were to make a video that captured your thoughts from question #4, what kind of approach can you imagine?
